The Snake, the Greys, and the Salt Rivers meet to form the Palisades Reservoir--one of the top listed earth filled dams in the nation it holds 1.25 million acre feet of water which provides great fishing, boating and water sports. In the winter Alpine is at the heart of prime snowmobiling and ice fishing country.
